March 2022 - November 2022
find out moreThis project got underway with the goal of updating signage in their shops and unifying the LCE branding across all locations. We have a great relationship with London Camera Exchange going back 15 years, working on projects for their locations all over the country. So when they approached us for a much larger revamp project, we were excited to take it on.
Starting close to home, the Southampton store was completed and used as a template for the look and feel which would be carried over to other locations. Oxford and Reading followed, with a view to move further afield in 2023 and continue the project all over the country.
Each LCE premises is unique, with it’s own shop layout and building constraints, so the biggest challenge has been transposing and adapting the brand’s common signage elements and making best use of the available space in each store. At the outset, we knew this would be a challenging part of the project and so designed all signage with flexibility in mind.
Another aspect needing consideration was the disruption to trading in each store. All shops remained open throughout the project and work was either carried out in such a way as to cause minimum impact within the shop or alternatively completed out of hours. This is a common concern for businesses, especially within the retail sector, before embarking on larger projects. However, we have the expertise and experience necessary to work around a business’ needs and ensure that all risk analysis, health & safety, and insurances are in place.
